Is the app free?
Yes — free to download, and the whole reward system (buddies, stars, leaderboards) is free. From July 2026 an optional subscription unlocks the full topic library; the entire Animals & Creatures category (200+ topics) stays free forever, and every feature other than locked topics remains free.
What ages is the app for?
It is designed for curious kids ages 5 to 12. The exact age rating is set by each app store — see the listing on the App Store or Google Play. Parents can read alongside younger children or let older kids explore on their own.
What is the difference between gems and stars?
Gems are the in-app currency, earned only by learning — reading topics and finishing flashcards — and spent on collectible buddies, titles and frames. Stars are separate: they are a behaviour-reward tracker parents control. Neither can ever be bought with real money, and nothing gives a pay-to-win advantage.
How do star rewards work?
In the PIN-gated Parent Dashboard you set behaviours or tasks — chores, homework, reading habits — and the real-world rewards kids redeem stars for, like extra screen time or a movie night. You approve what counts, and you can switch the whole thing off per child.
How do the leaderboards work?
There are three: a monthly Best Reader board (most topics read) and a monthly Best Helper board (most tasks completed), both of which reset on the 1st of each month, plus an all-time board that never resets. They reward steady habits, not bingeing.
How do I set up child profiles?
Create a parent account with Google or Apple sign-in, then add a profile for each child from the Parent Dashboard. Each child gets their own progress, avatar and nickname, synced across every device linked to your account.
How do I cancel a subscription or get a refund?
Subscriptions include a 3-day free trial and are billed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel anytime in your store account before the trial ends to avoid charges; manage or request refunds directly through the store, following its policy.
How do I send feedback or report a bug?
The app has a built-in feedback tool — open Settings in the Parent Dashboard and tap Send Feedback to reach us directly. You can also email [email protected] anytime.
How do I delete my account or data?
You can delete your account immediately from inside the app — Parent Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account. It is processed right away, with no email or waiting required. You can also remove an individual child profile, or write to [email protected].
Does the app collect or sell personal data?
No personal data is ever sold, and the app is COPPA-compliant. Sign-in is used only to sync progress across devices and support multi-child profiles. There is no advertising at any tier.
